Vince and Jinah Licari have been sent with a small team by the YWAM Lausanne base in September 2024 to start YWAM Château, an international base with a particular focus on North Korea, and the multiplication of innovative initiatives to equip young people from low-income countries with professional skills (English, IT...). The new base is starting up in Savigny, in the canton of Vaud, but the long-term vision is to establish itself in a château in France.
Vince and Jinah have been part of YWAM Lausanne since 2002, holding all kinds of responsibilities, and the Lord is now calling them into a new season. They will start with a staff training school this autumn and an English/Korean DTS in 2025.
Their missionary training will be designed to help Christians in North Korea. Today, North Korea is ranked as the country where Christians are most persecuted, while South Korea is the second most missionary-sending nation in the world.
The planned training courses will be a strategic way of preparing and training leaders who will become spiritual servants to the North Korean people of this generation. Their aim is to prepare hundreds of people to enter North Korea as soon as the doors open. However, as well as concentrating on North Korea, they want to keep the whole world in mind and go to the people of North Korea.
